Artwork Description

Inspired by the Yes song "Onward" (hence the title) and originally done as a gift for a friend who is a scuba diver, and also a profoundly spiritual person, always striving for that elusive gift of enlightment. The original version of this image was done with prismacolor markers and colored pencils, and then superimposed on a digital background - I redid it entierly in a digital medium for my upcoming show, as a part of the "Celestial Figures" series.

Heya Eri-Chan, it's me, zenphoenixa! ^___^ I recently swung by your old DA page and saw how you'd provided a link to a new gallery, so I decided to pop in and see how you're doing! Laughing out loud Wowsers, and of course I zeroed in on the amazing light effects you have going on here... Wink I still remember how lovely the original version of this pic was, and it looks just as stunning in its digital format - the outline of the subject matter is crystal clear and beautifully defined, and the glowing of the lines combined with the sparkles and silhouette is a real knockout. Laughing out loud The atom/nucleus sun looks astounding, as does the light pillar, and there truly is a very enlightening, astral feel to the entire piece which I find very inspiring. ^^ *Is still captivated by the light* I'm like a moth to a flame here. XD Gorgeous stuff Eri, you just continue getting better and better. *Thumbsup* Laughing out loud

*melts* that song is so SO moving to me - it almost always brings me to tears. I absolutely love Chris Squire's songs, and his singing voice - not quite as much as Jon Anderson, but close Smile Thanks so much for your comments, I really appreciate your kindness!

"Onward through the night, of my life..." I love that song! Excellent picture. Very emotional.

Art at its best.
