Artwork Description

Inspired by Diana Gabaldon´s novel "Outlander", this is how I imagine the main character, James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser (in short: Jamie Fraser). The image title is the clan motto of the Frasers, meaning "I am ready".

Einfach...perfekt. ich bin kein Künstler, und verstehe nicht viel davon, aber DIESES bild ist definitiv eins meiner Favoriten hier.

nice picture, but jamie has a wide mouth.

hmm, not at all how i picture jamie fraser, but a nice drawing... jamie definetly does NOT have skinny legs (however, i could not do better).

Guest's picture

oh he's haandsome ...wonder if he's regemental...lol

I just love the Outlander series (I'm on the 6th book now), and after finding this picture... awesome!! It's very well drawn, and you've captured the look of Jamie amazingly. Except the skinny knees, I know he doesn't have those. Other than that, this is how exactly I thought he looked. Handsome!

we say: je suis prêt. but anyway, I love your picture!!

Its a scottish dude with a sword.....Cool!!

Even when I could only see the thumbnail I was thinking "Hey, that looks like it could be Jaime!" And sure enough it is! Great work, hope to see more soon!

I kinda like that.

Thank you! I feel honoured! Smile
Yes, the sideburns are fitting, aren´t they? Nowadays I´m not very fond of men who have them, but the time the image displays seemed just to be right for sideburns.

Its amazing the things you find...I just finished Outlander, and im almost through Dragonfly in Amber...I must say, You have made Jamie alot better looking then I invisioned in my mind. The sideburns are a good touch. Just amazing! I love it

Hehe - thank you! Yes, I love Scotland too! Been there only once yet, but will definitely return often!

Incredible! i LOVE Scotland! The wind blowing in his hair and his expression- WOW. absolutely wonderful

whitelady's picture

Thank you! That´s the best of comments – when people say that he looks like what they imagined!

This series is awesome! Amazing artwork, I espaccially like the way you did his hair. Exactly as I thought he looked like, keep up the awesome work!

Thank you Raven! Laughing out loud
Actually, yes, I do plan a few more characters from the books! Of Claire I already have a doodle in one of my books which matches my image of her quite good! I also would like to try Brianna and Murtagh. Only this could take a while, because my diploma is calling for attention very loudly now (the oral exams are in less than 4 weeks... *gulp*)

Thank you!!!

Yes, it´s about exactly as I imagined him when I read the books. I´m glad you like it!

By the way, I also have a wallpaper of this pic on my website at www.whitelady.de - it´s under "English" "Showtime" and "Wallpaper". Only if you are interested! Smile

I love this series, and this is an excellent piece. I always envisioned him a lot stockier, but seeing this, wow, I can definately see him in this image! Wonderful!!!! Any other characters from the series planned in the future?
