aqua-tinting is actually a process where you lightly etch a design into a piece of copper plating then in a layered process of applying a certain type of wax and the use of an acid bath you cause the resulting piece. Once you clean the piece you apply a thin layer of ink and run it through a press with a slightly damp piece of paper. I believe the entire process is also called acid etching... ^__^ hopefully that helps you out..

Never heard of aqua-tinting prior to this. I love the affect not to mention the interesting subject. It gives the feeling that there is an entire story behind it and I'd love to know what it is. Good job. Patter
