Windswept fantasy landscape
Thanks! you've obviously spent a lot of time pouring over the details of this piece as most of us hope that the occasional looker will. The comparison is much appreciated as indeed I initially used the same "decalcomania" technique ernst used to produce random organic shapes to work into. The surrealist movement provided many inspirations for me. There's also a touch of influence from my old colleague Ian Miller involved in all the wiry, spikey stuff.
Now this is absolutely stunning. The organic detail for the plant life is outstanding. I really appreciate the different shape of creatures that have been moulded from various shapes. Wonderfull sky too. Your style reminds me some what of max ernst, who does very similar surreal landscapes. Great work
