Colored Pencil and Oil Paint. Older illustration but worth showing!
Boudicca was Queen of the Inceni around 40 AD There are numerous legends regarding her courage and leadership. In 40 AD she led a revolt against the governing Roman empire which had occupied her region for decades. This illustration is part 3 of a 3 part series that will depict both her courage and bravery against impossible odds.

It is believed she poisoned herself rather then being taken prisoner by the Romans (they would have made an example out of her).

How did she die? I've always wondered that.. ~~Adek~~

Wow, an editor's pick that deserves to be an editor's pick! The colors are beautiful. The amount of hard work, thought, and planning you put into this really shows. The drape of the cloths and her feet and hands are beautiful.

This is so lovely, and I admire the amount of work and your skill making this picture ! Reminds me of the Preraphealite art in its subject matter, colouring and attention to detail... Very nice !
