Artwork Description

This pastel and gold watercolor is available in a limited edition. The original is a "Study" for my much larger triptych, Femme (shown on my website). This piece is included in the 2002 Paper Tiger book, The Fantasy Art Gallery edited by Paul Barnett, and is in a private collection.

I did not see it until the print arrived; she has slit pupils, like the serpent on her arm. Another layer of comlexity in this beautiful work. I can look at this picture over and over - it remains intriguing and enimatic.

It's very good paint, but I don't understand everything... Where is her thumb? Is she missing a finger? Oh, never mind...I love it! Smile

The emotion/environment and over all style comes together with your art.
I am very pleased with this Pic and hope to see more like it.
The jewelry adds to the mystery of this woman…Nice touch.

Lovely textures and composition. I'm not sure about her hand, though. Is she missing a finger?

Art at its best.
