Artwork Description

far below they live,
unknown and forgotten.

they remember the forlorn,
and weave the lost lores into tunes.

subtle and soft,
gently, can you feel
the sparkling melodies of celebrations seeping in?

It was supposed to be a series of commissions. After I started to paint this image the client decided they didn't have enough to pay before I even got to show them, so I didn't get paid in the end...

painter 6 and a couple days.

What a fabulous piece, really brilliant!!!!
Always so nice when you get a job halfway done and good client decides not to pay you – grrrrrrr -.
That’s the reason why I now ALWAYS take the half payment upfront from clients that I don’t know. This ensures that the client is as serious about the job as I am. The rest of the payment HAS to follow before I sent the high resolution file to the client.
By clients I worked for since a long time, things are different for sure, but those clients I know and know I will get paid after I finished the job.
So my rule is: New clients or companies that I don’t know have to pay the half upfront, otherwise there will be no deal. This rule saved me a lot of trouble during the last years :-)…

You are such a fabulous artist and I always get a little upset when I hear that talents like you didn’t get the money for their hard work.
