I thought these were actual pictures taken... But then I thought to myself there is no way that such a beautiful picture would be that pretty on camera... Nice job!

Heya Michael, I was thinking it had been a long while since you posted and i missed this piece *Doulp!*. Anyhow, really nice haunting ambience for the piece. I especially appreciate the water effects, It is my favourite element to paint!. I should suspect it would be very cold given that there is mist about, But that doesn't seem to worry the princess! (must be those thermal underwears Tongue). Anyways Michael, Great work!.

Thanks James,
Whenever I get a comment from you I take it as a personal achievement. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but If you weren't so darn good at what you do, I wouldn't have to Wink

Thanks Judy,
Your advice about the way I paint water was invaluable. Thanks a million.

Thanks Jeff,
I firmly believe that if it wasn't for the immense talent in the WIP helping me with this piece, It wouldn't be here right now. You just can't pay for the lesons you learn from these artists.

Thanks Scott,
I feel like lighting and misty atmosphere really can add to a fantasy piece. It somehow gives it more feeling, and mystery.

Beautiful work, Michael! you have achieved a lovely realistic dream-like quality, marvellous colours too!

Hey, you finally got it in! I can't say I like the addition of the fog because it's too blurry and unnatural, but hey, it's in so what's it matter now? Congrats. Wink

Wow, Michael, this is beautiful! They way you paint mist and soft lighting is just superb. Those trees in the background look amazingly realistic, the horse and woman are very well rendered and that water is just fantastic. Stunning work Michael.

Thanks Varian,
It just goes to show you that persistance and determination can go a long way.

The misty, dreamlike lighting, the gestures of love and heart-warmth. It's so idyllic and fantastical. Somewhere, this magical place exists, and you have been there and returned with this view to inspire us all. *Excellent* work, Michael, and it was a privilege to be able to watch the final steps as this beauty came together.

Art at its best.
