textures on the armor? I did start with some custom brushes (dirt and scratch thing) to add the highlight and shadows then I started to add more scratches and lines/edges with a 1 pixel brush (tons and tons of strokes)

I didn't know you frequented epilogue kyena ^^. How did you get those wonderfull textures?. This is great work btw, the dark tones in the background really suit the light tones of your characters. Wish i could fav on this site =J

Thank you Henning Smile

I´ve told you this before, but I really, really like this picture. The pose is so good. They are really interacting, they seem like one unit. Your use of colors and semi-draft roughtness to the brush strokes are just spot on! MORE! Smile -Henning

kyena's picture

Thank you Smile
They are characters played in an online roleplaying game called Everquest. The real persons behind the characters requested that drawing

I really admire you work. It is so smooth that it relly looks like it is a photo of two people. Are the two of them characters from a specific story or from a D&D game that you have played? Anyway, keep up the good work.

Thank you very much Scott!

hi there - no the faces are not based on the rl persons.
and I actually made the armor look worn on purpose - I used to make armor really shiny and got a bit suck of it to be honest - but I guess it's a matter of taste Smile

Very nice portrait work here Natascha. I like their facial expressions and the desaturated look with the color. Nice rendering on the armor as well.

A Wonderful peice of art The faces are extreamly exceptionaly, just thier expressions are great. The armor was well done, thier boidies well proportationed. I like it alot. Well done. The slight bordering it the picture is acrtactive aswell. Good Job.

Guest's picture

Very nice piece. The shading on the armour could be a bit more pronounced to make it appear more metalic but still a really nice image. Are the faces based on the real couple?

ronweed's picture

Art at its best.
