Artwork Description

Hi folks,

Hope you like my dragon pic, had some free time so why not. The original file is fairly big, 6000 pixels across so at 100 percent the details are a little sketchy, at this size it probably looks a little more detailed than it actually is but that's the name of the game I guess. It's all an illusion!

Cheers Marley, sometimes idea things without thinking I'm sure you know what I mean. Like calling a landscape with a small dragon in it,THE DRAGON!!! Because you sort of have to look for him. But then again by sort of like it that way to.

Wonderful work, as always, Matthew. I particularly like the feeling of distance, and the fantastic detail and the water and the rocks and the dragon and... well, I really like it all! Brilliant.

Hmm... a view, a castle, a dragon... sounds like the recipe for fantasy cheese!... and yet - it looks so damn cool! Shock

Great sense of scale, Matthew!

Ahhh, thats a neat dragon, I like it how it is shrouded in shadow, as if it really belongs to the environment vs it sticking out and saying "hi,im a dragon :P"..beautiful almost matte quality lke

It's an amazing piece Matthew. Really astonishing. An incredible sense of depth, which makes the dragon all the more huge. Funny that the reason why this dragon looks enormous is precisely because you painted it as a "small" and off-centered part of the picture. It works marvelously well.

Art at its best.
