Artwork Description

This was an idea for a double page illustration. In the end it was abandoned as it wasn't really working out as well as we had hoped. Believe it or not I actually hand wrote the text on the page. The idea being you were looking through the eyes of the author and could read what was written. Unfortunately, as you can see there was just too much text to make this possible and we couldn't really trim the word count. Just out of interest those are my hands. I basically copied them as I was painting on my graphics tablit. I remember it was commented on, that they weren't very manly which was a little embarrassing!!!
Anyway, I still quite liked the image and thought it might be fun to post in my gallery...... thank you as always for your visit.

I think this work looks outstanding, and the hands are perfect the way they are. Now I have to pull out my eye piece to see what I can read in the txt. Smile

I had missed this one when it was originally posted. It is beautiful. I hope we get to see a hi-res version one of these days.

I like this one, especially the light and shadow. Very different and it works well.

haha! I hope your masculinity didn't get too many bumps about the hands? But to make you feel better I wouldn't never concider them as female's hands... -- You have a great handwriting, I should update my glasses though to read it, hehe.. Just love the little drawings in the corner. Also light from the window looks fantastic and natural. Too bad the illo didn't work how you planned it. But it's still a very nice piece =)

Is there a chance to see that as a wallpaper by chance?
