I love how everything around her is ugly, as if nothing can compare to her greatness. Wonderful symbolism. Although, just to spite her, I think she's uck! lol
we're having an event at school wherein we're going to incorporate the seven deadly sins in an ironical way. meaning, the symbols of the seven at seen, but not literally. rather we'll incorporate in positively and based on our plan which should be about HRM (HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT). could you please give me what the symbolisms for the seven are? we need a logo. thanks.
nice art works by the way.
The peacock feathers around her was primary symbol for vanity
Color of vanity=Purple
The Woman attending to her hair with comb and mirror and her jewelry also symbolizes vanity
This picture is amazing! And, I got the symbolism within 2 seconds max, good call!
Are these paintings sold anywhere?
Is there two cups I see in the dress? It looks like wine cups, you know, those for people who enjoys parties. hmm.. vanity really fits it.
peacock feathers in the circles, i believe? to symbolize how the male peacocks show off their feathers, and the one with the most colorful set attracts the best mate. speculation, of course.
Is it possible to purchase the art? I can't find anywhere on the web where it says you can buy any of the sins? If anyone knows please email me at tonid@purple-people.org.
I did a photography project not long ago for college, and chose the 7 deadly sins for my theme, i looked at various artists, but i stumbled across your images by mistake and have to say they inspired me greatly, thankyou for creating such vivid creative work. also i have done a design essay and chose to use Alphonse Mucha as my chosed designer/artist, i thought of your work strait away and can see the links, it is very cleverly done, and i had to mention you as being influenced by Mucha, as i presume you were. thanks again, hope you didnt mind. Joe.

Hi Marta
fantastic piece of work. Love everything it, including all of the other pieces of work in epilogue.
I really hope you finish the rest of those sins! I'd love to see them. As for the rest, they're all absolutely stunning work and I just love to sit and look at them
I realy love the command that you have over detail and colour. The lighting, colour and soul of the peice is utterly breath taking. I am hopeing that you will post more of these seven deadly sins I love the concept too by the way. The cloathing and hair is so very detailed...they seem so real and so reagal and deadly. I love it. It is art that makes you feel and this is a precious thing. You have a great gift too give and thankyou for sharing.

Well the windo thing sort of reminds me of a peacock's feather, you know how it has all those eyes? And peacocks and pride/vanity sort of go together, at least in my book. The mirror, obviously. And purple. Purple was generally reserved for royalty, and the royals wore it to show pride for their social status, I'm thinking. Am I way off target here? Anyways, beautiful picture! Absolutely love it.
