This guy is done with ebony pencil and white pastel on colored paper.
Aww, cute. Like Reepicheep from the Chronicles of Narnia series.
I love this! The lighting you achieved is great, not to mention the serious warrior stance of the little mouse.
I like the tones here. And that is one strong little mouse to be bending a sword like that just by leaning on it. I love how it all flows together. Wonderful!
to everyone that's taken the time to comment. I appreciate it, but haven't been able to get back here as often as I'd like to reply. Maybe it's just me, but Epilogue has been really slow on loading. Yes the mouse was inspired by "Redwall". Anyway - thanks again!
wonderful classical technical treatment of a non-classical subject. fabulous draftsmanship! I love the dandelion - nice kinetic compositional touch.
Did you get your idea from Redwall?
He's great!! The tone and warm/cool changes in his armor are wonderful.
WONDERFUL - can I get also such a warrior mouse? Mighty little fighter.
I love how you integrated the pencil/pastel and the paper. He looks like a mighty warrior, and I'm very glad I'm not a cat in his vicinity!
That is the dwarfiest mouse I've ever seen. I love it ^_^
what a cute warrior! Great Idea- and overall phantastic work
