Artwork Description

The little girl looked up with dark eyes, almond shaped pools of wonder. Breathlessly, letting the whisper roll off her lips with languid awe, she mouthed one word. "Unicorn". The creature dropped its head to her outstretched hand and met her gaze. "Unicorn?" it asked, arching a feathered brow. "Have you no idea what I am?"

I rarely use red like this, and I wanted the challenge of trying a warm color scheme. 8 1/2 x 11", watercolor, acrylic and india ink on illustration board.

>what is that dialogue from?

Actually, its just a blurb I wrote up in reference to a dream that I had. It was very vivid and rather different, and the motivating factor behind this piece. Smile
