I love this drawing. However, even thought I hate to say this...errr.. her eyes are too far apart. >.<; Sorry! The rest is great thought! Love the detail in the backround. ^__^

Thanks a lot!! I do work in color, though mainly in traditional mediums (i.e. colored pencil etc...). I am not a huge fan of using digital means (though i enjoy looking at well-executed digital images). I might have to work a little with it in photoshop though, just to play around a bit. Thanks again!

I agree with the other comments posted here........(although, I don't really think she needs any pie)..........The "flow" is a little peculiar in that my eyes are constantly drawn to those hanging baubles........... Nevertheless, it seems to be deftly communicating all the qualities you were hoping for. ............. I love how unafraid you are of utilizing the full range of the graphite's lightness and darkness. ............. It is good that you've incorporated rectangular, triangular, and circular shapes in your design. ........... i also like that you've paid some attention to light source, even though it's not a focus of the image.........(one exception to that might be the hair beads, but thas okay)...........Push forward studying the human form........Good fashion aesthetic here..........Nice detail on the cheek rings........I like the attention to the throne pattern.............. A colour version of this would be marvelous, I think.... ............Do you work in colour, yet? ..............Colour's easier to experiment with in Photoshop... you could take this drawing and come up with multiple version................I don't mean to ramble, but I often do...........Good work%

I just love her eyes, there so lifeless and like heartless yet as if she is feeling sad you know ? Like as if she wishes to be part of the "living".

thanks so much! And you know what, it's funny you'd say that. She's actually a character from one of my novels i'm writing! *smile*

Absolutely lovely! I am a writer as well as an artist, and it is pieces like this one that inspire me not only to do better as an artist, but also to create new worlds in my storytelling! Looking at this piece, you have to wonder who she is, and where. Lovely!

Wonderfully detailed pencil work, Cora, beautifully patterned with different levels of nicely controlled shade work! I love it!

Art at its best.
