Three points: 1. This is an excellent painting if not 100% accurate. 2. Samson's hair was cut before he was captured but, according to the Bible, his hair grew back afterward. 3. The hair was merely a symbol of Samson's special devotion to God. As such, Samson's strenth came from God, not his hair, so the previous commentator is right is saying that he regained his strength only after praying for it.

Samson regained his strength after praying for it, if only to use it for the destruction of the who were evil...am I right?

Great physical study, tho the legs seem a bit out of proportion imho.

Danny, if I recall the text correctly, Samson suicidally collapsed the philistine temple after his capture and slavery. At that time his hair would have been cut. Or maybe it had regrown... Need to check the Big book Smile

Nicely done, but there is one small technicality. According to the text, Samson's strength was lost if his hair was cut. I guess he could have it pulled back into a poney tail. The picture is very well done though.

Art at its best.
