Artwork Description

Her hand trembled as she cupped his cheek, watching those dark, lovely eyes staring into her with disbelief and horror, glazing over with the Veil of the dying. She whispered, her voice quivering as she held him, her fingertips combing back his hair from his pale brow. 'You would not let me go, my love. I am sorry... please forgive me.'

She rose and let him return to the floor he had fallen to, the glistening pool of red welcoming him as his last breath had been consumed in a fleeting kiss. The Once-Queen turned, unable to look upon the elven man, upon the blade that remained in her fingers stained in the price of freedom. She stepped through the palace door, leaving his remains and the silver collar behind. She would never be a slave again.

interesting, i like how its kinda like a small comic in a way, even though every painting tells a story, it shows the process and the whole story in one, i like it, good job (^^)

Oh Great story telling, Elise! so tragic, yet I suspect it is also a tale of hope dearly bought! Lovely your clean pencil work, I like how you have followed the story in a kinda piece by piece graphic style! wonderful dramatic work!
