Artwork Description

It happened a few years ago, as we were hicking in the Alpes, my daugher and I, hoping to spot wild animals. She was only 6 at the time, but already patient and cautious enough to follow me and silently approach the ibexes or chamois we often met on our way during such hikes. But this time things were different: it was a couple of wolves we met. We observed them for more than an hour, and with patience and luck, we finally managed to come within 60 feet of them, for a very short time. And my little daughter was amazed to see with her own eyes, in the wild, the wolves she had been hearing of in so many fairy tales. She is living far away from me now, but this portrait of her as a wolf-child is here to help me remember this magical moment we shared. --- Prints, Tee-shirts and totes available at www.ellenmilliongraphics.com. --- More art from Pierre Carles at www.pierrecarles.com.

Thanks a lot Tian. I too was impressed by your work, as I already said in your gallery. And to think you are only 16 !!

the story behind the picture and the technique impresses me-- it doesn'T look like colored pencil, but like acrylic or gouache on the first sight.
the wolf also looks really awesome. pls keep up your works!

Thanks Abe. It is already encouraging to receive positive comments from Epilogue members whom I know. But somehow, it makes me even happier when I get such feedback from unregistered visitors who just enjoyed the piece and took a few minutes to say it. So thank you for your time. Smile

It's up to you Arkzel. But next time don't bother posting the same message 6 times: one is enough, so I deleted the five others. But I made sure not to delete this one: you do have the right to dislike the piece and say it, although not remaining anonymous would be more courteous.
