Hi Uwe, thanks for looking in. This was done with Photoshop, and I am glad you think I achieved the painterly look, and the sadness in the eyes, because those were things I was really aiming for.

Great to see the Monster not as a amok running freak, the sadness in his eyes speaks worlds.
I love the painterly feeling of the piece, hard to achieve with digital media but you master it really very well. Do you use Photoshop or Painter for your digital work? Just curious Wink

Thanks, Bill. I seem to be going off in the horror direction at the moment.

Thanks, James. I'm delighted that people are picking up on the pathos of the creature, which is what I was aiming to communicate.

Thanks, Pierre. I don't know the work of Arthur Machen, but having looked him up, I think I must rectify that.

Thanks, Matthew. I am really pleased that the sadness of the creature comes across, as that is what I was aiming for, but I still have a lot to learn with digital painting.

Hi Malcolm, I like this one a lot. You're really taking to painting digitally. Aside from mastering the technical side of painting, digital or traditional the hardest thing in my opinion is creating feeling and emotion in your work. I think you have achieved it in this really well, he is grotesque but I have a strong feeling of compassion and empathy for him. In his eyes I can see he has a soul! Nice work Malcolm!

Art at its best.
