Artwork Description

Azorie, my personal favorite. I painted this when I was 23, I am now 26 and this is still my personal favorite. I did this while living in New Orleans, I can still remember when I finished this. It was about 3:00am when I signed it, I put it in its frame (beautiful large antique and gold). I lit it as it should be viewed, the just laid there and stared into her eyes, and she stared back at me. It was not until the sun stared to rise before I finally got up and went to bed. I have shown this piece in many different shows, although I wouldn't dream of selling the original!

I get the feeling I'm intruding on a cult when people go "Thank you for sharing her with us". But anyways - this is grabbing. It took me by the shoulders and shook me. The colors add to the "death" atmosphere. "If" I were to die I want it to be captured like this. I also seem to be thinking she was betrayed in some way.

I can understand why you could never sell the original. Absolutely stunning, beautiful and eerie. Thank you for sharing her with us.
