She is also called Bearberry, and is used in medicine and ceremony. Her leaves are dried and brewed as tea. When blended with tobacco, bark and herbs, the mixture is called a kinnikinnick, meaning "that which is mixed". This Blackfoot maiden has filled her basket with kinnikinnick leaves, juniper, willow, sunflower, bergamot, goldenrod and yarrow.
