Artwork Description

This cover is based on the Conan and Belit story 'Queen of the Black Coast', and just represents the heated fight sequence on the Tigress. I wanted to use the red background to enhance the mood I was trying to set. Also the parties involved wanted to shy away from Conan as a bodybuilder.

Hello, this is my favourite Conan piece of yours! Thank you for this whole gallery though, I enjoyed the art very much. Great skill and understanding of what Conan is about Smile

Plot quibble-Conan and Belit seem to be fighting the Tigress's crew. Belit was the captain Smile
nit picking aside, this a superb action scene. Really catches the dynamic of Howard's combat. Everyone LOOKS as if they are moving. Superb.

Thanks. I really enjoyed your Radioactive Hamster covers when they came out and actually those were the first few issues I started with when I was collecting.I think I also have some of the 3-D books. They were very inspirational.

Boy...if only I could learn enough in acrylic to do something half this good...wish me luck, man!

Awesome. Joe Jusko, Earl Norem, Chiodo, Boris, and all the other SSOC cover artists would be proud of this! Fantastic composition and mood!
