Artwork Description

Basically this will for be a dungeon adventure supplement so they wanted to see Conan wandereing through a dank dark dungeon. I also wanted there to be a hint of a scuffle, but of course the soldiers had no chance. I had fun with the lighting on the brick/stone walls on this one.

I used a three point perspective. Basically two on the main horizon line and one on the second horizon line below off the page. For the back staircase I add a couple more VP's just to determine the turn with the wall and staircase. So I guess overall ther's about five VP's. Even if something 's at a different angle from the three main points I like to work it out so the spatial relationship is believable. Andrew Loomis' book is amazing for perspective. I've learned most of what I know from that. And yes working on Conan has been unbelievable, I've been such a Howard fan since I was a kid. Smile

Wow your ability to do perpective makes me jealous, especially how you can keep the characters from looking like their "floating". How many VPs doe s this have? 2 or 3? Sorry I'm not sure, but it looks great. Also, please tell me that painting Conan is a dream come true, because it sure would be for me, if I could paint this good that is Smile

Art at its best.
