Artwork Description

This book had the theme of sorcerey running through it so the publisher wanted the same idea/composition as the amazing Frazetta cover 'Sacrifice'. He's definitely my absolute favorite Conan artist. I tried adding my own spin to his amazing idea but in the end I just wanted to have fun with it and try not to think about it to much.

Without Frazetta, there is no Fantasy Art concept Smile

Wow, Chris, this is gorgeous! High fantasy at its best, certainly. I love the attention to detail and the way yu've textured everything. My favourite bit though is the blue smoke on the right, it looks amazing!

Absolutely gorgeous illustration. I hope that one day I can craft images as elegantly as this. Editor's Pick well deserved!

Lighting, action, detail and that statue! This one has it all, glad to see the editor's on this site feel the same. Congrats.

Looks nice, I think the statue in the background needs a little bit of high light on the triceps on the left side of this picture as the source of light tends to come from the lower left. The right arm of the statue where the sword is located seems to look a little flat. Good job all in all.

Another amazing Conan piece, Chris, apart from the obvious nostalgia I feel for the hero, I feel you have succeeded in making the character your own in many ways! BRAVO!

Art at its best.
