Oils on Rives BFK printmaking paper. Mama always said two heads are better than one.
Thanks for the kind words. Most of the horror pieces I do I do with a bit of humor(and hopefully the viewer comes away with that too). As for how long it takes to do one-usually 2 weeks, some longer some shorter. Naturally the more details the longer it will take. Plus working in oils can be a hinderance at times.
I absolutely love your artwork it is amazing, i wish i could draw as half as good as you can. The spider and the evil Santa Clause just made me laugh, great ideas. How long did it take you to do one piece? And did you paint them? All of the artist's on this websie are fantastic but your work just stood out to me straight away, keep up the good effort x
Yeah. It's a pain to gesso, the paper loves to bubble up on you. You gotta work quick and get it gessoed and restretch it while it's still wet & take a hairdryer to it while trying to pull and flatten it out with your other hand!! It's got a nice texture to it though, kinda like a canvas.
Ha! Mama was right. Hey, did you affix the BFK to a board before you painted on it? Did you have to prime the heck outta it? Cute pic.
