Artwork Description

Did this in Oct 2013 and the image was referenced from a vintage woman and the rest was ALOT of pink...ohmigosh. Pink, pink, pink and some black. Ok, its a stretch...but ALOT of pink nonetheless. What possessed me to make her hair pink, flying swimming blackmoor fish with oddly a butterfly influence in their fins and steampunk? Because I CAN!!!! The flowers are known as "Campanula rapunculus" which is believed to be the influence for the name "Rapunzel" the Grimm's brothers used.

My scanner is evil and since she was painted on 9x12, some of the fish, feather and her hair were nixed in the scan. Plus is made the image a weeee redder. ><

Painted on 100% cotton Stonehenge paper 9x12 in watercolor, acrylic (metallics), watercolor and pastel pencils, pastel chalks & colored pencils - aka "mixed media"
