Artwork Description

There is a Chinese tale of the Herder Boy and the Weaver Girl, who were so in love that they neglected their duties and were thus seperated by the gods (they are stars in the sky). They are only allowed to meet one night a year, and that is when all the birds fly across to create a bridge between the Herder Boy's and the Weaver Girl's stars. This bridge of wings forms the Milky Way.

Thanks! I frequently like to do complimentary colors in an image, which automatically gives it both the hot and cool range. Smile

I really love the way you've mixed warm and cool colors in this peice. A lot of artists pick a color pallet that has just cool colors, or just warm colors. You have both and it makes for a spectacular peice. I love it.

I adore anything that holds an Asian quality to it and the fact that this peice is beautifully created only makes me love it even more. The story as an inspiration is an added bonus. I love all your work. Smile

It's incredibly beautiful ! once again I wish it were possible to see a larger version of it (under flash for (C) protection with the "magnifier" script to zoom on bits of it ?)
best wishes and bravo once again !

That is a sad story...but I think you brought it out well! You can kind of see sorrow in her face and yet anxiety for the day(night?) they can see each other again.
