Artwork Description

Twisting, twined, and tangled, tumbling towards the yearning sky
Like lovers locked in long embrace; their leaves drawn rustling sighs
A hundred thousand years have marked their journey on the rings
that spiral out from mingled heartwood in the song that mem'ry sings.

I've owned this image on my hardrive for quite some time now, just for personal enjoyment of course however I have to disagree with Mr. Anonymous, I followed the link you provided to see Mr. Fitzpatrick artwork and I could not find one, not one similarity in her work and his. Aye they use the same medium perhaps but truely Ms. Law is more stylized. Everything from her little creatures to her well formed magical trees, nothing about his work resembled anything at all. Just wanted to point that out, Ms. Law is indeed in a class of her own. period.

I love all your paintings! They are perfect and so detailed! I love them all ^_^ You are a true master at watercolours, Stephanie! ^_^

That one word sums it up for me...Combining the poem with the image and even though no words are needed, it creates an epic tale in the mind of the viewer...as if it is an illustration of a story we all already know and grew up with...every detail just as it should be, comfortable and elegant; soft yet firmly rooted in it's reality. I must say it's the epitome of art! Well done indeed. ~megan (vvqwiksilvervv@aol.com)

This piece, like all the others simply took my breath away. Absolutely beautiful!! ^___^

Incredible. I've been to your website and made personal wallpapers out of all your images, and so, instead of working on my homework I stare in wonder . . . this is a stellar piece. Phenomenal. Fantastical. Extraordinarily magnificient. I'm running out of words. All of your works have such imagination; you truly are an artist.

I think I spent longer on this painting than any other. It took about 50 hours total.

This is breathtakingly beautiful. Sad. WHYCANT I DRAW LIKE THAT!?

How long did you spend on all of the details?! It looks... so... so... well, cool ^_^. I love the leaves and branches.

It reminds me Jim Fitzpatrick's works! Very Beautiful!

I could never be eloquent enough to describe this picture, so I'll settle with 'wow'. ^.^ I was just looking through art galleris for something neat to inspire me, and I found it! Thank you!

"baram ram"...?

Anyway, no that was not intentional about the foxes, but I can see what you mean! =)

Guest's picture

hmm the foxes hold their tales and head making the boubles look like the green one with the light and dark areas, (though they were crystals before I looked closer) was this intentional, baram ram?

puimun's picture

Yes, it really is hard to show this picture as it should be! I will be doing a large print of it though.

veinglory's picture

I agree with the editors that this is outstanding, right down to the little foxes. I only which I could see it in the flesh as it is hard to see the detail without getting completely pixelated.... (in both senses of the word)

Guest's picture

Words cannot describe the beauty and perfection of your work. You comletely master your medium of choice(a difficult one at that !).Congrats on your newest EP !

puimun's picture

Haha. Somehow those little guys keep creeping into the pictures without telling me.

puimun's picture

Thanks!
I'm very happy with how this one turned out too.

puimun's picture

Yes, that is just a little bit of my own ramblings as well. I'd love to see your piece when you have it up.

puimun's picture

Yeah, I think tihs one took about 50 hours.

Elegant linework and absolutely gorgeous colours...I really like the foxes you put in on many of your paintings, too

This is wonderful Steph!, is the poetry your own? because it`s very good too. A book of your poetry and Artwork would go down well...
It`s a little strange, I`ve being working on a peace, with some simular elements to this sumptuous work of your...maybe we mind linked..ha!

kassandra's picture

o.O Paiting this must have taken *ages*, with all that details in it. Wonderful picture!

A well deserved Editor's Pick. I saw this on your homepage and have been hoping you would upload it to Epilogue, so that I could comment on it. Smile

This is, in my opinion, your best work so far. The detail is staggering and the composition of cold and warm colours, together with the vibrancy of the reds, yellows and greens makes a stunning painting.
