I knew it! I found this book at costco the other day and was like, "Hey, Mom, is this not Steph Law's art?" And I serched the book in every possible spot for Cover Artist Recognition, but sadly, no, there was none. It's been driving me nutzoid ever since... So glad that I finally found this, and not just because I can now brag to my mom "See, I told you it was by Steph Law!"

By the way, this is one of those strange people over on Elfwood. I am Aurora O'Neill, of gallery 744.

I wish I could bring some of my big paintings like this one to shows! But since I fly by myself, and don't really trust the airline to handle checked in framed originals, I can only bring little pieces. Anyway, it was great meeting you too! Smile

Oy...what a comment from mr. vaultage....oy oy oy.

Hey, great to meet you at DragonCon, Steph...you are just too damn cute! And, man, it was great to see those originals...to see the level of detail and delicacy with which you paint gives me even more respect for you and your stuff!

Well, I would say complain to the art director then. Smile Sorry, but as an illustrator, I have to bow to their wishes, and they want a good looking man and woman because it's for a romance/fantasy novel.

Nothing wrong with a comparison to Aragorn & Eowyn! I can't complain about that. Smile

We have seen this image over and over again... when will it change?

The romantic view is to boring these days.

I will give you good critic when you paint something different.

What do you say if I said that this picture would look more interesting if the man was a little bit shorter, small fat, bald with a beard, and the woman had a little thicker wrest, small breasts and manly gestures?

Altough, you have the knowledge to draw something.

Ah about time you submited this painting =) I still get that feeling of Aragorn & Eowyn, cant help it..hehe..but the thing I love about this painting is the castle-design, truly amazing, it´s fun to see some other designs then those usual castles with alot of towers everywhere. You never stops to supprise me with your skills Steph...keep it comming..respect!

I always love to see your light touch and masterful use of watercolor. This should make a very eye-catching cover!

Art at its best.
