Artwork Description

Cover illustration an anthology of short stories entitled "Fantastical Visions - Volume III," edited by W.H. Horner. Available in Spring 2005. For more details: http://www.fantasistent.com/fantvisions/

The cover was meant to be a wraparound, but there was going to be a lot of dead space on the back side for the text. So I decided to make this painting in the format you see so that the composition worked on its own as a painting, and then after I had scanned it, I added more to the left and move some elements around to accomodate the format for the book with the text and barcodes and things. If you're interested in seeing how that looked, click at the link for the details just below, and scroll to the bottom to see the last image there.

Very unique. I like your style and focus on certain objects intead of the scene (which can get confusing). Very I like the forest through the "window" - it adds more atmosphere

Thank you, I'd be honored!

This is amazing. The flowers are stunning, and that says a lot from me because I'm really picky about what a good flower is. This is a beautiful cover for a book, and if I ever become a famous author, I'd love to have a cover made by you. ^_^

You know where that fox is, I just love how if your eye wasn't focused, it could be mistaken for the moon. That concludes my rather banal compliment Tongue. hehehe

Hm, you're right, it's been many paintings since they've made an appearance! But you know they can't stay away for long.

I don't think you've painted any foxes in a while:)

Detailed magic, Stephanie! from the roses to those wonderfully charismatic cats, just stunning! I love the marbled wall, impeccable work!
