Artwork Description

After not working in traditional mediums for awhile I decided to do my sons baby shower invite in watercolors and Gouache. It was alot of fun but hard doing these fuzzy lil characters, really a departure for me but worth it.

Jean ..... I like to stop by every now and then and check out your work . It seems like forever since our paths crossed . Having you critique my art has to have been one of my greatest memories . This painting of yours is so special . It comes from the heart . I painted a picture for my first grand daughters baby shower . A baby ( little one ) taking a nap in the forest , under a leaf . Loved the John Carter art .

Jean.... Been a while since we touched base Sad This is so cute Smile I did something similar for the birth of my first grand daughter. It's a ( little fella) baby asleep under a leaf, in a basket also. This is adorable. I had tried to write you a while back. but the E-mail was bounced back........... So CONGRATS !!!!!....On your baby boy !!!!! I know how special this painting is to you Smile

Congratulations on your new child Mr. Targete. I'm scared to death to have kids, so I admire your courage. As for the art, this seems to be the opposite of your usual dark, powerful, and masculine style. I think you pulled it off really well, but I have to admit that I think the master of this style (on Epilogue) is James Browne. When I try to paint soft, whimsical images like this, they usually end up looking a little twisted and dark. Nevertheless, your painting is quite beautiful, and your kid looks like a very cute little tike. Good to see new work from you here JP.

Well, it seems you will never cease to surprise us ! It is great to see new pieces of yours in Epilogue, but even greater to catch a glimpse of your unpublished "side-work" as well. Really a treat. Smile

gorgeous work, jp. bright and vibrant colours. Im giving watercolours a shot now, they are quite fun to work with ^^. The subtle shift of reds and mauve in the sky is a highlight for me!.

Art at its best.
