The Druid Tree by cari
This is an interpretation of the famous Celtic Tree of Life. It has interlacing silver branches and roots, with copper leaves, and tiny copper acorns (which occur in threes, a magical number in a lot of ancient cultures including the Celts). The tree itself is an oak tree, the tree of the Druids, and there is a small Celtic Serpent curled at it's base. The Serpent is often used to represent eternal life and rebirth in many cultures. The metallic bits in this painting are Faux silver leaf and pure copper leaf.
