Artwork Description

I had the pleasure of following J.P. Targete on this second novel by Alma Alexander.
This is a mix of acrylic and Painter.

Fantastic work, Michel, now I have never read anything by Alma Alexander, but I know I would have lifted this book off the shelf purely by the enticing cover alone....heh heh mmmm now I suspect that would have been the general idea! WONDERFUL!

Thanks for all your great feedback (we artists need a little encourage ment once in a while). This particular job demanded a more hand done feel and so mixing real brush with Painter seemed to hold it all together and be able to meet the deadline. The Empire Earth piece I put up yesterday goes for that more superealism so it was done more in Photoshop with a touch of Painter.

Michael, this piece is gorgeous!!! – well as I’m a huge fan of J.P’s work I sure know his changer of days – yours is a masterpiece as well – thank you and all the other stand out artists for all the inspiration you give to me – thanks!!!!
Btw. I find it very interesting how you mix traditional and digital media to achieve the effects you want – I currently use mostly digital media as I have to learn a lot using digital media, but I start missing my real brush – so this is a good idea to try to do also some mixed media in some of my upcoming pieces! Thanks again for posting your breathtaking stuff!!!

Art at its best.
