Artwork Description

This pic started out as a small image, roughly 3"x4". I was experimenting with lighting, color, and motion. I think keeping it painterly helps with the motion part. What do you think?

You definately achieved motion here! Great action scene, and I agree with patrick; I like the smiley face on the weapon. Smile The streaks of the light are very well done!

Yup...I did use "The Little Shop of Horrors" as a foundation. That was a great movie...hmmm I think I might go and rent it now.. later:)

Very cool looking plant, Can I get a few seeds? Anywho, I like the motion blur effect you did on the green LED lights on his watch and on the gauntlet, really adds to the sense of movement. And yeah, painterly look works great. Like the whole cartoony realism look. Something I really enjoy as well. feed me seymour?

Yep, "painterly" was the way to go here, alright... This could be my favorite piece from your gallery (except maybe "Serpent"). Gotta dig the smiley face on the weapon, too!

Yes, very dynamic looking piece. Fortunatly it keeps the viewers eye on the illustration. Excellent digital

The painterly look does have a great effect with this piece, especially since the colours appear digital. (well they are digital). Awesome piece.

The experiment was a success! Lighting colour and the 'motion blur' work well here John. great painting.

Yah, the painterly strokes give it a fresh, almost blurry look that is consistent with motion.
Awesome color, composition, and lighting by the way. I especially like those streaks of color coming from the gun. ^___^
