Concept for a Cd cover
your work is amazing!
Well, it's not easy to scare me, but you just did scare me (But i'm having panic attacks at the moment, so no wonder ;])
But anyways, your avarage style is cool, and i love this masterpiece (It's not the only masterpiece in your collection)
PS: God, i wish i could learn your style
Or as a very eerie candy wrap...
This would look cool on the back of a $4 bill
He is about to bury his head in the sand, just like everyone else does, thanks Marcela! ;]
wow, definately dark. I'm loving it. The green tone of the whole picture certainly gives it this mysterious piosen mist, or what not. I'd have to say that I'm very curious as to what the character on the left is about to bury or wants to uncover.
Thanks Diana, I cant promise anything, due to my extremely poor bandwith, but Ill see what I can do
Yeah, synthesis is good, it appeals me more than turborealism at least, I DONT WANT TO BE A MATTE PAINTER, NEVER EVER!!! am I as good as I think that I am? bwhahahahahahaha, anyway see you and the rest of the squad at the pub.
samuel!!!!...just dropped by to see what you were up to and i have to say that you now seem to be aiming towards synthesis, which i didn't quite imagine would be your next step but is working reeeeeally well...i have to admit (reluctantly hahahahaha) that you probably are as talented and good as you think you are....and i'm proud to say i get to annoy this very "mature" illustrator in the flesh...
always your friendly stalker hahahaha
Aye Oliver its digital work all the way, you are correct, thanks for the kind words, man, your CD covers are brilliant!
Personally, I prefer working more for the Music Industry than Book Publishing, for some reason they always favor experimentation and taking risks, which is a plus in this bussines.
hi Samuel,i see you tend to illustrate cd covers,i try to do so too, your work here reminds me a little bit on mr. Kean...ahäm,but it seem that you got your own power of expression with this technique, not many artists are able to use the pc quite right...and its difficult to be not under control of the digital possibilities! ...
p.s.don´t hesitate to justify,if i were wrong when i going to think that this one is made with pc/ps,eh¿
Thanks for taking your time to visit my little corner on the net David, I dont fully agree on wheter the cover will fit or not a Black Metal band, after all, a litle pushing of the boundaries of extreme music CD covers does not hurt anyone
Personally i think the unclearness of the pic is great. it gives you much possibilities of interpretion. i've got several ideas about it.
anyway it does not fit to a black metal band.
i especially liked the colors!
ps: i am know as [KOTNO]Narrot on Ultiamtemetal.com...
that was one of the main reasons why this cover wasnt selected as the final piece, the band wanted a more clear statement with the cover, but I have grown fond of this version, thanks for stopping by Cynthia.
Thanks for the nice feeback Socar, the concept was intendeed for the black Metal band "Dark Day Rising" from holland, for their "Underwold Dreams" upcoming album, this was one of my earlier ideas, the actual cover has a more graphic depiction of the albums title.
I can't say I understand it...but I DO like it. Both icons/figures are so...itchy!?
I'm curious to know what would be on the CD which has this cover.... For some reason--maybe the green colour, maybe the glowing eyes--this seems subtly disturbing. Very nice work.
