Artwork Description

Meet Eyzaathe, Queen of the Crystal City Fae and rumoured to be one of the most beautiful creatures of Aii Chriaston. The waterfall is part of the brooklet of Ah'tuala. It runs down from the tall mountains of Chi Dala Mia towards the sea. Local people have long since wondered at its mystical glow, but legend has it that the source of the little rivulet is right next to the entrance to the Fae Kingdom of the Crystal City. Nobody has found the source and returned with the memory of it to tell anyone, though, so the tale is as of yet just that - a fairytale.

i know you probably hear this from EVERYONE but i have been slowly weaving my way through your site all day today while i'm meant to be working... Wink i LOVE your work. end of story. Smile

quick question tho:

Hey hey!
I just did a post on ur dark lady's picture so that way u can go back and read it but once again. You have taken my breath away with your lovely pictures! I'm sure you hear this a lot but again I must say it!!! "I'm So Envious" But it's in the good way. I always get that way. I get envious and awed, then depressed at my own limitations, and then fired up to make better works of art! I think that this little cycle I have going on is the only reason why I've become this good so far. You definitely have a "Golden Eye" for things. In all of your pictures I've seen, everything is so well balenced. I must to plead as Amy French did in her post at the bottem of this page. I would completely appreciated to have such a well known and profound artist to take a look at my site, that i have just recently built for my art, and help me to become as mature as you are in your artistic capabilties. I would be honuored if not overly estactic if you would!

I have just recently begun to explore the world of CGs, computer graphics. And once again I can't wait to see more great art. Wow....

Your fairies are exquisite. Beautiful artwork Smile

This is gorgeous! The little "story" you added just adds to the enchanting mystery of her. I would kill to have your drawing skills. I really love this picture. Hey, I wouldn't mind looking like her. I love the way you did the wings. She looks almost like if you dared to touch her she'd dissapear. Very awesome.

Guest's picture

So far, I have only seen two works from you, and I am truly amazed. They are so beautiful! I love the colors on her and I absolutely LOVE her wings. She's a beautiful creature indeed...

I love your work, my brothers girlfriend showed it to me a year ago on elfwood and I've been looking for it since. Now I found it and I love this picture she's so beautiful. You are the best artist I've ever seen

Guest's picture

You don't do all of this in photoshop do you? I didn't think you did, but I've seen so many say "good PS pic" I'm terribly scared that you did. You are the best Renderer that I've seen, and definitely deserve the top ranking.
Honestly, looking at this, and all of your work, makes me totally and utterly depressed. Not because your work is horrible but because of my own selfishness. "How can I even ever HOPE to come close to being as talented and experienced as Linda Bergkvist?!" I can now ask myself. (it used to be Stephanie Law's name inserted where your name is now) Being the very cynical girl that I am, I tend to think such things as this. And its not like I just sit around, mopping and feeling sorry for myself, I actually do practice my own techniques as well as try others all the time. You might say "well its because I've have so much more experience that you, Deary" (if you use that term) But the fact of the matter is that your are not all that much older than I, and Adobe programs haven't been around THAT long for you to gain a whole lot of years on me. Goodness this sounds like I'm whining, and I don't mean to be, I just wanted you to know that I'm not depressed because I hate your work, but depressed because I am inspired by it and frustrated with my own limitations. I know that the main key is to keep on breaking through ones own limitations, but at times I just don't know what I can do to excel.
I would ask you to go to my gallery and tell me what you think of my own works, but I am a newbie to this site and all of my stuff has been rejected and/or still in the pending folder. Apparently Stephanie doesn't think my work is good enough for this site. (which again is frustrating) But hopefully, someday I will come up with something that will be approved and maybe, just maybe, if you ever remember this one girls name and you find it in your heart to check it out, please lend me your constructive criticism.
You hear this all the time but your work is absolutely beautiful. Your work inspires me and discourages me at the same time. The immaculate images I see in my mind I cannot recreate, anywhere, to share with the world. But its comforting to know that you can recreate images you see in your mind's eye, and hopefully, with practice and instruction, one day I might be able to do the same.
P.S. Sorry for the novel

Guest's picture

holy moly this is totally...ethrethal. truly something out of this world. So soft and beautiful. It reminds me of that Byron poem "she walks in beauty like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies, and all that's best of dark and bright meet in her aspect and her eyes. one shade the more, one ray the less, hath wave in every raven tress...ok sorry that's all of it that comes to mind at the moment. but i really do love this image!

Guest's picture

I think this HAS to be one of my favourites. I hope you don't mind but I did a cheap, crappy pensil take off of this- I got bored waiting to do my art exam so I thought I'd have a little practise with me pensil. It turned out we had to sketch a shell which I decided is another thing I can't draw!

Guest's picture

Hey Linda! I think that your art is absolutely amazing. I have enjoyed your work for quite a while, I used to check out your elfwood gallery too. I think I remember another image that you did of this char. Am I correct? If so, would you mind posting that image again? Keep up the great work!

Guest's picture

I can't say it enough..your work is just....wow...I work with some programs, but nothing to this effect, now I just want to learn more and pray that I can become half as good with it. It's beautiful work and I wouldn't know how to give you enough compliments so you really know how much I love all of your work....wow...

This piece keeps me staring at it for long long periods of time. The fabrics are so perfectly shaded and well formed I just can't believe my eyes. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. A true Queen.

Guest's picture

Hey Linda! Just want to say that I really like the pose here. She looks so adorable!

Thank you Linda for all of your beautiful work. Whenever I am down, the gifts you bring to the world, lift me up again. Thank you for bringing us beautiful places and people.

I really find your style fascinating. I think all your artwork is inspirational to all who see it. You have a way of attracting the eye Smile I see what I would like to do myself in your artwork. I have been an admirer for some time but I rarely leave comments. You're very talented (of course you knew that) and I hope you never stop doing artwork in /your style./ This peice especially has given me all the inspiration I need. I'm becoming a better artist with your help...Thank you!

Guest's picture

You might not read a comment this far back in the list but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I love all your pieces (I visit every other day to see if you've posted something new) and am inspired by the beauty, and feeling you can put into a picture. Being a detail freak I can appreciate the perfection of the tilt of the head or the position of the arms. Somehow you manage to make something real, and unreal all at the same time while still making each picture pleasant for the eyes. Wish I had your talent...

lunatique's picture

This one is probably my favorite piece of yours. Just love it!

WICKED!

Good God Linda, this is beautiful..

enayla's picture

That is one of the most beautiful compliments that I've ever received. Not that you pulled your picture, but that I can inspire someone to do better. (though, in all honesty, I really love your work =] )

megaflow's picture

Well, you may find this interesting... I had a picture of my own in the "pending" bin which (however immodestly) I am sure would have been accepted. However, after seeing this image, I just pulled it -- you have inspired me to do better, and try to aspire to your standard. Thanks for making me work harder!

Guest's picture

I hope you will work out to be a fantastic artist, even though you already are one! My best wishes toy you in the future!

Enchanting at first sight, impressed by the intricate details, and admiration for your vision. Incredible...

You are so amazing, Linda. Looking at your art makes me want to give up completely and yet inspires me at the same time. It makes me feel emotions I've never felt before. It sounds so cheesy, but looking at your artwork is like falling in love for the first time. Smile GORGEOUS!!!!

Art at its best.
