Artwork Description

This was done for the same client as the Nightly Forests, Autumn Whispers, and Dragonfly images I have (the Dragonfly wasn't uploaded to Epilogue due to it not being fantasy)For some reason, I forgot to upload this one here, though. This is... a bit too cutsey for me. I dunno, it's just not my 'thing'. I also feel that it's a bit too cluttery, and I somewhat prefer my original version (here)to this one (which is the art director's preferred version) because of it. Most people seem to agree with the art director, though ;P Figures.Anyway, keep your keen eyes open for the t-shirts and postcards with these images on, as well as the comic Fate of the Blade that should be available soon. I did the colours for that one.

I saw most of your artwork and I do think that you are amazing, they all look perfectly done! I love them all and you are a very talented artist. But, I have one question? How did you do it and what program did you use to colour them? Great Stuff! ^_^

Guest's picture

Would I be allowed to use a few of your (excellent) images in a layouts I'm making for my website?

You may have no idea of how much your beautiful work impacts people's ideas... or perhaps you do. I am a fan of your from Elfwood and I could NOT believe I found your work again! I was sooo sad when you left there but I am glad to see you still share your work with the world! Please keep the beauty coming! I've been searching for a faery design for a tattoo and I have a better idea of where it will come from now!

Hmm, if I didn't know it was a commission, I'd say that someone ran out of black paint. Wink

I couldn't see the original, but it's really interesting to see "out-of-character" paintings. Pretty textures.

And trolls are dumb.

Esta sorprendente tu trabajo, tu arte, eres una maravilla, ojalá entiendas español, quisiera preguntarte acerca de cual es la tecnica que usas. Poser ?

What a gorgeous piece.

Very nice, very inspiring. This picture walloped me over the head with a oem that i wont bore you with here...oh well, still, a very nice piece.

Hmm, i like the original better too. There's just a little too much in the background here and it ends up too dark. So where can we find these post cards and t-shirts?

Guest's picture

actually i think i like the other version better as it gives the impression of being out of place and time thus allowing it to be fairy on a rose...does that make sense? i thought it didn't. still good though! me likesy your workies muchly! ^_^

Ok, I've got to pipe in on this one too.
Linda, you just keep amazing me. What a wonderful vision you have. Somehow you make these paintings that have all the priceless perfection of collector's porcelein, without any of the kitchiness. Your work always causes me to catch my breath. Bravo!

Hi Linda.
I jut wanted to ask how one can get training or get an idea where to start to learn to do this. Obviously you are incrdibley talentyed in the first plce.. you will make a lot of money in your life! do you oil paint also? Or canvas paint?
I noticed that my other comments to you have been removed and I was wondering why? The only negative thing I said was i didn't care for the blood in your Fae painting.
I have experience with oil and acrylic painting and would love to figure out digital painting..where do I start??

Well, I want to say about one idea:
1. Artist must earn his right to comment
2. To earn his right artist must have gallery with at the least 1 work
3. Bad work are not accepted! Wink
4. About me: Epilogue Guest comment in my gallery since that moment will not be seen openly. I hide them by using Epilogue service, only I can see them.
That's why I think people which did not interesting by art can not comment me.

Wow! That's beautiful! And I agree with you, I like the original better too.

I wanted to tell you that I've been coming here for awhile now and looking at your work, and I think it's absolutely STUNNING. It takes my breath away and makes me so very envious, because I have no drawing/artistic ability whatsoever. *grins* I particularly love how you make the men in your pictures look--so very beautiful and sensual. Men can be just as beautiful and sensual as women, so don't let any of the people who put you down for how you draw them bother you. And anybody else who puts down your work is an idiot, because it's obvious how much care and skill it takes to do what you do.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that, and let you know this picture is strikingly beautiful. 'Felïn' is my absolute favorite of your pieces. I think I'm in love with him. *LOL*

I'd have to say that I like the first, the second is a bit too cluttered which I must agree but nevertheless, beautiful work!
