Artwork Description

The doves should not be white, my love,No more than your lonely tears. And yet, white they remain,Pure like your innocence,Even in the face of sin.The doves should not be white, my love,Forgive me for tainting them black. Forgive me, my love, the sin was all mine.Aah, and a word on androgyny; I find it beautiful, and especially in a character that is nonhuman. This is a God of Light in the picture – who is to say how gender should be depicted among gods, fae, or elves? Not that anyone who hates androgyny should be looking at my stuff anyway ;] Except for self-torture purposes.

Hey again. I just wanted to comment on your work once again. I love it, Linda. It's awesome. The way you capture the body and the face..is absolutely unbelievable. I truly wish I had your talents. I can only sketch. That's it. The guy in this picture is so angelic, sweet-faced....nice-looing. *licks lips* Yes, I love guys. Anyway....I just wanted to say I love it, Linda. Never stop.

I don't remember how I came to find your artwork...but I'm really glad I did. Your artwork has such a profound effect on me...it almost hurts me to look at it, because I'm dying to step into the painting and stay there. I think this is one of your best, out of all of your pieces that I've seen. I wish I had a poster of this for my room. Thank you for blessing us all with such beautiful work.

Your work is amazing! Especially considering the medium, I never quite figured out digital imaging. Beautiful work, just breathtaking . . . and a good comment on androgeny, reminds me a bit of some aspect of Hinduism.

Wooow!! How awesome!
I really love your pics!!

By the gods as I live and breathe Linda, your work has certainly grown more beautiful. I love your work each and every time I've 'refound' it. This time, however, I'm stunned breathless with amazement.

However, this one seems to stand out to me. Might be because I've seen Vic played. Might because of the light.

Either way, you've certainly matured as an artist and this picture reflects that.

Guest's picture

It's different. I like that.

He looks a bit too female-like, but I love this artwork!

Guest's picture

your art brings tears to my eyes! i want every picture you have in a print so i can decorate my house with your art!

Guest's picture

back again! omg this is beautiful, im not usually a fan of grey-white coloured pix, but damn girl ur an exception, these are incredible!

Guest's picture

Are your pictures based on the poem that goes with it?

Do you write these yourself?

I'm visiting your gallery now and this one took my breath away. It is wonderful, so peaceful, I really love it. I don't know what to say more it's just so beautiful.

Very peaceful and beautiful. Yeah, enough said.

Awesome as always Linda. What can I say? I love it. The effects around the hair especially. The little accesory thing. Anyway, I think your picture isn't "bright" enough though. As a God of Light... why is this picture's color so softened? One thing you may want to change is making it brighter. Add more "Light"

I love your art, I used to have you bookmarked once upon a time in Elfwood and though I've had you bookmarked here for awhile I don't often comment since everyone else beats me to it Smile
I love your artistic style, colours, composition and... Well, everything I guess *grin* I always tend to be inspired into getting out my drawing impliments (awlays great ideas for Sidhe), though I should practice more in digitial media.
I'm just commenting on this one because I like it as much as all the rest. Sorry i don't have any helpful criticisms for you... and curse my friend Robin for having a picture done by you! My friends knowing more talented artists than me. Bah humbug! Wink

Så otroligt vacker denna bild, ja allt du gör är gjort av en mästarinnas hand.
Tack!

This is awesome - the wispy strands of hair and the folds of the cloth, the ethereal look of the clouds. You've got such a captivating style, Linda. ^_^ I do sometimes wonder about androgyny, though. Everyone oohs and aahs over the bishie boys and artwork that applies female-ish grace and vulnerability to men. But how often do you see masculine *women* drawn and raved over?

Guest's picture

There is a sort of truth to this picture that i quite enjoy. Such beauty is not often created by human hand, but when it does it shows the truth of what mankind can do.

I quite appreciate your gifts to the world.

I see a Man-tit that deserves grabbing.

Hahaha.. androgyny is wonderful ^_^ The flower is a beautiful touch. I didn't notice it at first. @.@

It is beautiful. I have said it before, and I will say it again; your work is beautiful. When I can honestly tell myself that I write stories as beautifully as you make images, I can call myself a writer. And when I write stories worthy of illustrations by you, then I will call myself a god of the pen. Keep well, and may you always find joy in yoru life.

Magnificent..!! I have always been a fan of your work, and this one of the most fantastic workings of yours. Absolutely marvelous..!! Mon cher..

This piece is absolutely wonderful. All of your pieces have sent my heart into my throat. Your style will always be original because no matter where I look I have not seen anything as beautiful as your paintings, as far as digital goes. Most of the digital artists (in my opinion) over do there work but you have truely found the good side of digital and used it to lighten people's hearts and make them explore their imaginations. I speak as a complete fan of your paintings and I'm looking forward to more. By the way, do you know the arist Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema? If not you have to check him out. He's dead ofcourse, but his art is truely something romantic and magical.

just beautiful. All your works have an unearthly glow to them - this being no exception (of course). Androgyny is very attractive Wink

I'm just a random person to this place.. but I love your work! I've seen a large amount of complaining and I just don't get it.. then again my favorite quote is from some comic book artist I dont even know the name of: "Art is reactive, subject to the taste of the individual viewer..." Well my reaction is of complete amazement. I wish I could just see how you do these fantastic pieces step by step! Excellent job!

Hello Linda. I am a long time fan and visitor and I wanted to tell you I really like this pic and the "Fae" series. I like that you are working with light more and a broader array of colors. I never really realized how much light and color could add to your already lovely work until these recent pictures. I also like that you are working more with backgrounds and scenery. They enhance your subject so much. Anyway, excellent work. It's awesome watching you grow as an artist.

Your gallery is so full of beauty Smile it's incredible. I love all the fantastic little details you put into your drawings to make it all string together. This is, of course, no exception. The misty background and the gentleness of the character is seeringly attractive. Bravo on another awesome piece of work.

Art at its best.
