Artwork Description

... The faeries fly the sullen winds on blackened wings, and in the nooks of the branches hide the blackened dust of corpses burned hundreds of years ago. They say witches hide, here. Lurking among the shadows in the depth of these woods - waiting for the occasional unwary traveller, so that they can slowly devour those innocent souls, and then hide the yellowed bones in the hollow trunks of the trees.Eshreemn - such a lovely place, but nowhere as lovely as it once was. Before the dark fae, before the witches, before the wars that turned the old forest to dust. It's said that the spirit of the forest was made bitter and restless, then, in those ancient times.

Hi, Enayla, this is Alysse the Likely from Santharia. Would this gorgeous picture be available for use to illustrate the Despondmire area of the Silvermarshes? It's perfect and I haven't found any illustrations on the site that would work.

Very pretty! Yes, I'd add a tiny bit more Spanish moss, it's excellently done, though. The tiny eyes to me are beautiful. Maybe a good fae lost.... wandered off the beaten path I guess.....

This one I adore as well! You see...I love trees...I have a weakness for them and my art project at the moment involves trees. The theme of mine is the Farie's den...though there are no faries in the pic itself. I love the candles and the mood! Amazing picture!

Linda this is my first time looking at your work, a friend of mine showed me your gallery...and I am very happy so say that I am blown away with your talent. You can capture things I never thought humanly possible. I have been looking through your entire gallery and have not found a piece I have not liked yet. Keep up the excellent work!

I found this page from a site I was looking at, and I was amazed to see the beautiful art on it. You are incredibly talented, hun, and you should really seek profit on these or something, or put them in a gallery. I loved this one and Path of Petals is beautiful too. Both of these works have created a sense of mystery and, in a way, they are a bit eerie. The landscaping on all your pieces are lovely. Smile Don't let this precious gift of your's go to waste! Keep updating!! Laughing out loud

When i first saw this piece, i was amazed, completely dumbfounded. I don't know whether it is the sparkling mist, the figure, the candles, or just the title. I think it must be all of them. The mist - it has a cloaked appearance, as if the witches in the story IS the mist. The sparkles just complete the mist. The figure - she's like a spirit or something. It's as if she is looking into your soul, even from such a distance; she's like a beacon of coming hope or fear. The candles - how did you think up that part of the picture? I don't know about you, but i think they are like miniture souls, already demolished by the witches. And the one that has been blown out? It's as if there is a wind, which is not visible in the picture, extinguising trickles of life. And, of course, the title - i feel this picture wouldn't be what it was if it didn't have such an intimidating, yet enthrauling, ensnaring mystery about it. It is what first drew me to the picture. The story is wonderful too - i really cannot see how you manage to think up such ideas. It's as if you are a character from one of your paintings! What i would really love, is if you could paint yourself as one of these fantasy figures. I would enjoy trying to figure out which of your characteristics you love, or hate most. Finally, i would like to say how your paintings have made me feel. I have looked at all the pictures in your gallery, and each one has left me speechless in one way or another. I can't understand how, at such a young age, you have managed to reach deep into your soul, and drag out of it these, quite frankly, awe-inspiring creatures, and then, painted them to such an extent. I hope you carry on creating these beautiful masterpieces (they really are masterpieces, you know), wish you all the best for the future, pray you keep creating them, and, finally, let you know that you are my favourite artist in the entire world. Good luck, from the bottom of my heart, Rachel.xx Age 14 - mddr2g@aol.com

It makes you want to loose yourself,to forget yourself in the mists of ancient folk tales and mythical lands...there is a strange calmness about that eery setting that captivates the eye and soul as well.

Guest's picture

I am speechless! Belive me when I say that is so hard to do because I am a high school debater but you have done what my family and friends think is impossible! You have left me speechless!

Very nice illustration, is the girl on the top one of the witches of a lost traveler?

Guest's picture

HOW DO YOU DO THIS ART?!?! DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE COURSES OR SOMETHING! I WANT TO LEARN TO MAKE BRILLIANT IMAGES LIKE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Guest's picture

I think this picture proves something that never really needed to be proven: That your backgrounds take second place to your skill at rendering beautiful, perfect people. In this case, the subject is the very twisted, wizened tree- beautiful in it's imperfection.

the person is far off. I think that's a nice change, and rare to see from you. As it turns out, anything you choose as your subject is lavished upon. It's clear that you love drawing for its own sake.

Guest's picture

This is a wonderful picture; the twisted tree is gorgeous.
