Artwork Description

___
"Innocence", he said, while his eyes fell away and slowly slid their black irises to study the mist-laden woods around him."Losing your innocence, is like losing a limb."The smile that appeared on his lips was neither cold nor warm - it was colourless. Flat."You can still live - you can move around. But you will never dance again, not like you once did. You will never run across a meadow without a shadow drifting over your heart."The eyes returned. Slowly lifting - swaying upwards like birds taking flight."She crippled me."Quiet, for a moment, and then,"For that, I will cripple her."
___
The woman that he speaks of is none other than Ta'thaniise, Queen of the Dark Fae. He is Jeirehneen, of the Eshreemn.
As for the picture, I had -so- much fun doing this. I'm about as happy with it as I'll get, since I have to get back to work, now, and can't continue playing around ;] One more piece of the puzzle of characters I've created...

STUNNING - absolutely stunning - i love this piece

This is a very touching excerpt to me, it is so true, once innocence is lost there is a shadow over things even if it is only a faint one. Wonderful work!

Guest's picture

wonderful! that peice of writing is captivating and earily true.
ps. he seems to have the same hair dresser, and the woman in all that i loved is gone

I come into your gallery ever so often just to see what new marvle you will put up, and there is always something new for me to drool over. You draw men the way men are afraid to, and the way most women just cant. Bravo.

I love the hints of story you create as you allow the characters to emerdge. Are you by chance ever going to write a book with the worlds you spin? Or is the canvas the only portal to these realms?

(I also did the comment called "lovely" for your Nelicquele)

I really have no words to express how much this peice effected me. Not only the painting, but the description you had for it. That little exerpt literally made my lungs stop working. I had to read it over and over and over again for a full 10 minutes before I could post this comment. And the painting..I cannot even start to describe how it made me feel. Absolutely beatiful. You are not just an artist...you are a creater of realities..and for that you have my deepest respect and admiration...~Alyna (xdamamuertex@aol.com)

This reminds me very much of a photo from a Gackt photoshoot. This is a stunning piece, nevertheless. Looking at your work is always a treat.

It's so nice and skilful what you do.
So i translated it to spanish for everyone to enjoy it.

"Ella me lisió."

I love your work. I love how you hid your signature in this one. May you always have this gift of art. Christine.

Fantastic! Wow..There's so much to look at. It's so interesting.

Mmmmm that background is just beautiful. I can totally fall into it. Man I want to be there. I hope you don't mind if I make a few suggestions, it's very good as it is, but what's perfect ay? I think the character looks very posed, and his stature looks out of place. His costume sutes so well, but he himself doesn't. He also doesn't interact with his enviroment at all. If he was doing something, I think it would dramatically improve this piece.

your work is so beautiful. keep it up.

It seems to me you are angel. Heh! Congratulations to you. And what will be the ends of the stories you created in such style? I wait this with interest.

What about hny? ...Silence

Well, deviantart didn't provide me with enough of your art so I found my way here. What are the words to describe it? Awestruck- maybe slightly jealous. I have never been as moved by someones art as i am about you. The old look of the character as though they just stepped off the pages of a fantasy novel... Its inspirational, I almost wish you were my art teacher. Well no -almost- is incorrect. I wish you were Smile Beautiful, thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces.

Mein Gott, Sein Verzaubern! This piece of work is truely breath taking , much like the rest of your work ; I must say, I love it all. Keep at it ^-^ ~Maura d.

I don't know what to say. Good work.

Guest's picture

Its amazing how there appears to be so much light, yet the forest still seems so dark...

Art at its best.
