Artwork Description

She said,"The moon has fallen into a sea of dirt, and all that I loved is gone."They said,"There is still the sea. The clouds. The earth."She said,"The ground slides, filthy and bedraggled, into the melting earth, and all that I loved is gone."They said,"There is still the sea. The clouds."She said,"The sea is but a stench - it devours but it does not live. All that I loved... is gone."They said,"But the clouds. We still have the clouds."She said,"The clouds are veils of sulphur and acid rain."They said,"We love the rain."She said,"All that I loved is gone."

oh my god.. this is captivating. this makes me goose bumpy. the poem for this print is amazing. it fits. you can actually feel her sorrow. amazing work of art.

Guest's picture

It is a thought provoking piece.
This is my first time seeing digital art.
I want to know what happened to her?
Was she drowned? Or her loved ones?
I like the way you make me think of different stories.

THIS PICTURE IS THE WAY MY LIFE IS... HAS GONE, HAS BEEN. I FOUND IT BY ACCIDENT, AND SINCE I HAVE CONTINUED TO FIND MORE BEAUTY WITHIN EACH STROKE. IT HAS GIVEN ME STRENGHT AND HOPE. IT IS TRUELY A WONDERFUL WORK OF ART. WITHOUT DOUBT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL I HAVE EVER SEEN. YOU ARE TRUELY GIFTED.

I have looked at her often and find it to almost speak to me. As a young widow losing my most treasured love, I see her and all her beauty almost lost in her surroundings without care.

Just Amazing!!!

Love the emotion captured her face The poem works great with the the pic. nothing one says can heal a shattered glass heart

i love everyting in this peice, but i have to say her expression looks dead. i don't see her grief, but i'm wondering if that was just the way you wanted her to turn out?

AWESOME!

This is beautiful. I love her dress, her hair is wonderful, and her expression is absolutely perfect.

I was wandering in another art site. Found a link to your gallery. I've been entranced here for sometime. " So beautiful and so dangerous"

Someone had used this portrait to represent their rpg character, and I couldn't view their profile to see the credit for the artist. I was so disappointed.. and then tonight I just happened across it while searching for something completely different... I literally gasped when I saw it! You have no idea how pleased I am! This image is so unbelievably gorgeous... I am so glad I found you! Now I can peruse the rest of your work, and someday, when I'm not poor anymore, perhaps I'll purchase some for myself. Please keep up the wonderful work!

This has to be one of the most beautiful works I've come across. I know that sounds cheap but this piece is now one of my favorites, period.

Very poignant; the poem as well brings tears. It reminds me of myself in another lifetime... very little can compare to the feeling of ultimate despair. Beautifully rendered.

As he died, he will return to die in me again
Weaving the cloth, giving birth to the Century Child
Who gave his life not for the world but for me
Innocence reborn once more

this reminded me of a song...
