Artwork Description

Fairytale style, I've been thinking about putting together a good number of pictures and stories for a fairytale book, mature and dark. We'll see what happens with that. This one is inspired by an old story - you might know which - but with a different theme. Trying out new techniques again, I love to test new things. On a sidenote, for all those who asked before when I was up to my ears in work, I'm free to do commissions for a while now.

Do you have a commissions page where you list prices or should I just e-mail you?

Linda, where do you get all your inspiration on dresses? This one looks gorgeous, as always. Wonderful detail.

I do love the background..very realistic, and stunning....I, overall like the feel of this piece very much!
Since I don't draw very many "dark" subjects, (which I plan to change that) I love it when someone can do it as well as you can.
I would like to know when you are going to have prints available?? I think a while ago in another comment page, you said you were trying to get things going.....and I was hoping soon we can get our grubby little hands on some of your work!

Thank you :} trying to find a style I enjoy - and I find myself moving from style to style, and loving it.

enayla's picture

It's actually not really a 'twist' on any story, but inspired by a couple of fairytales :] (which means it has similar elements but is not the same) thank you.

enayla's picture

Of course I am. :] This is merely me experimenting with different types of styles. I can only paint what I'm currently inspired to paint, and I have to admit I have lost faith in the fantasy genre, a little, and insteed been drawn into the fairytale one. It'll be back though.

enayla's picture

Thank you :] I'm trying new things with the people in my works now.

enayla's picture

Aw *blushes* you flatter me :}

enayla's picture

I will if I ever get around to doing it Smile Many thank yous.

enayla's picture

Yes, it is somewhat Snow White inspired - more from Hansel and Gretel. :] Dress is much inspired by snow white - I think that is where most get the association from. Thakn you kindly.

enayla's picture

I am glad to hear that Smile

enayla's picture

Thank you. I spent many hours working on those trees.

enayla's picture

No, thank you =]

enayla's picture

Thank you :] Backgrounds are still relatively new for me. I really only enjoy painting forests though. Heheh.

enayla's picture

Thank you. And Robert Smith, yeah? I can almost see it now that you've pointed it out :]

enayla's picture

Wow, thank you :]

enayla's picture

Thank you very much :] Colours are my favourite thing.

enayla's picture

Thank you :] It's something I've tried the last few pictures quite consciously.

enayla's picture

Thank you. I always love to try out new things - this time, it's going towards less-fantasy and more-fairytale, but I'm going to start painting more magical images in this style, too, sooner or later. It'll be great fun :]

Thank you so kindly :}

Just like everybody else, I have to say WOW. I can look at that picture for thirty minutes and find something new, the little lizards and birds and, the emotion on that girls face... WOW, very good!

Guest's picture

I must agree-i haven't looked at this picture nearly long enough to comment on rocks and things, but the dress is amazing........

Guest's picture

How can you discribe something like this?.. I can only say That I almost cry when I see it, it's beautiful!
WELL DONE to you again!!!

Guest's picture

Great picture as always. However, I have a question? How do I save this picture as jpeg format instead of bitmap? I'm not using this for any internet use, I just want it on my computer and don't want a huge file. Jpeg should be smaller than bitmap in size. So. ??

Guest's picture

We've all commented on the rocks and leaves and so forth (which are great), but I have to say the dress is stunning and the movment of the figure too.

megaflow's picture

You know how people throw around the word "breathtaking" until it has no meaning? I only ask that in order to say: I looked at this and literally could not breathe. It's as beautiful as life. Thanks.

Guest's picture

As always, gorgeous. I have a question though, that cloacked figure, who does he or she represent? A mortal, who has come to scare the faelings...or what?

Guest's picture

The background is luscious...I love the mossy, dark atmosphere. The central characters face and the petals glow against it. Save a book for me! Smile

Art at its best.
