Artwork Description

Inspired by some of the lovely complex-yet-cel-shaded work by Amara Telgemeier, I set out to do something both realistic and rather flatly shaded. I was very pleased with my little mouse warrior, but the grief incurred, both to my wrist tendons and while trying to explain to the neighbors why I was belly crawling behind the dumpster to get photos of weeds, has precluded me from further exploration of the style.

For some reason, this has always been my favourite of your works. Keep up the great, beautiful and inspiring work. Like I said before commenting one of your other pics, your mind must be beautiful =)

This is what I was trying to able to convey in my other painting but the body rather looks like now its dirty and even that don't look realistic so I failed one nice painting Sad this is so cool but you already know that yourself

I really wish I knew how (besides your obvious skills and hard work) you did this striking movie like image. Beautiful.

Beautiful ! The foliage is so real one wants to reach out and touch it ! Tell your neighbours you are studying a very rare species of bug, found only behind dumpster. Mad scientist is better than mad artist Wink

Wow really cool. Don't worry about your neighbors, they'll get used to things like that, I know what I'm talking of, my neighbors think me quite weird *g* I think you should carry on with that style a bit, it's great.

The little mouse rocks! I wonder what would happen if he met with my rat? LOL To bad you won’t go further with this style because I think it is just outstanding.

I really like the lighting in the foliage a lot. The mouse is also cool, but I think what makes this piece so striking is the execution of the lighting on the leaves.

Beautiful work! the detail in the foliage and the lighting is excellent- as is the texture on the rock. But best of all is the little mouse warrior with ear rings (lol!!!) and ear tatoo!

Art at its best.
