"Hey guys ^^.
First up, im really happy with this piece, no beans about it ^^ (even more happy than my last piece). This is infact a photomanip with a heavy dose of brushing. all textures used are for the landscapes. the cephalapod/sp? is hand drawn. Based on a sketch for epilogues "It Came from the Sea" contest. If your in for a bit of fun, do join, there are small prizes up for grabs ^^ (or maybe just one).
And at the end of it all just a little over 2 days work. That is the beauty of using photographs, it speeds things along
All photos are my own stock that i have taken from around the bay, from wharariki beach well past farewell spit, to the Rebecca glow worm caves....
One day though i shall grab a gnomon DVD of dylan coles' work and give the photographs the proper treatment! (I have alot of questions for this technique).
Hope you guys like my latest baby!.
take care

Marley this is one of those paintings which I think marks a dramatic change in the level of your work. Quite literally, I don't think you're look back from this piece and you will be reaching new heights in everything after this, I really do think it's superb. I know what you mean about wanting to get your hands on the matte painting DVDs, I keep promising myself that I'll get them! Anyway, well done again it's a great piece of work! | | (Marley Mcleay) |
Well that sure put a smile on me dail, Matt thanks for the awesome compliment :)...Marley
