Very nice detail and character design! Creeeepy.... One suggestion, since you've got this toned background going, it would be a good opportunity to add some white hilites in Photoshop, just to pop some areas - that might add even more "oomph" to the picture. |

Hey, Patrick. Believe it or not, the paper I drew this on was supposed to be white. Next time I'm going to try drawing on gray paper so I can use a white conte pencil for the highlites. I'm not too skilled with computer illustration yet.

Oh! Scary! I almost had a heart attack! The body is perfect and it is very interesting the effect of the head and the face. They are like a Naga head. An amazing piece, Dan. |

Thanks for commenting on my work, Vera. It seems like I've been interested in the Medusa-type figure lately. Must be my dark side coming out.

It's funny, beautiful and refined. What else could an impressed fan like me possibly wish for? *sighs softly* It's perfect! |

Well, thank you very much for commenting on my artwork, Ann. I have a lot of fun sketching.

Love the way you've melded the female form sssssseamlessly with the snake...right up to that face! |
| (Dan Mills) |
Hi CCCCCynthia. The model's torso had a serpentine quality to it so I decided to make the rest of her body into a snake.

Detail Holy Moly Dan! Look at the detail in this drawing - her tail and scale design is wonderful.
Lovely sketchwork!

Great Scott, Darla! Thanks so much for commenting on my drawing. Every now and then I like to sit down and doodle around with a pencil until I come up with something. It's sort of relaxing.

Nice drawing! You really catpured a fearful creature here. It has a neat, sharp kind of reality to it that is refreshingly creepy. Great job. |
| (Dan Mills) |
Thanks, Walt. I really enjoy pencil drawing. It's a nice escape from painting.

whoa... is that COOL or what!? i gotta know what kind of pencils you use. |
| (Dan Mills) |
Thanks, Sara. I used to use mechanical pencils but being extremely lazy, I switched to a regular old ever sharp pencil. You know, the type that advances the lead with simple click.

! Hey! I didn't realize that you have an awesome Snake-Naga too! It's almost as cool as mine! (Heh Heh, kidding, it's cooler). Anyway, I love how you rendered the underbelly concave, it creates a truly realistic, snake-like texture and shape! Snake bellies really do suck in like that don't they? Great pic! |

I didn't really have a plan when I started this drawing. It just sort of evolved as I went. I like working that way some times. Thanks for checking out my work, Chris.
