This is so beautiful. Your photoshop work is excellent. Is this a retouched poser figure? You've worked it up so well. |
|
Laurie Stanley 2002-08-05 |
Drats .. this comment was suppose to go with this image .. Sorry Linda somehow I posted it to the wrong image a moment ago *sigh* ..
?? Too Photoshoppy?? Good lord If I could do this in Photo Shop I would die a happy woman. Personally I would not change a thing .. the color light and composition are stunning .. As far as retouching .. well I can not speak for the artist I do not know her from Adam but I do know that she had a wonderful tutorial on one of her works at the Wacom site a while back .. it showed the creation of the image from start to finish .. all from scratch .. her "Dance of Winters" image .. and I certainly appreciated the tutorial, now if I had been able to grab a bit of her talent along with the tut I would have been even happier ;-).. Regardless I very much enjoy this artist's work and quite frankly could give a darn how she gets to the end of a project when this is the final result

Jeff Brillart 2002-08-06 |
I think that using advanced polygon models is ok. But why then are her thighs so short? I mean she sits so tall and then the thighs seem so weirdly short. That can't be a poser model in it's entirety. The face looks like a poser person but that's cool and we shouldn't overlook the fact that it a pretty nice overall picture. |
|
Laura Pelick 2002-08-06 |
hehe.. -amused by all those is she a poser retouched figure?- what.. people can't DRAW people in photoshop now and have it look like that? it's called practice, darlings that said it's a model that she retouched.. and people can draw wonderfully like this... i love the trees in this one a lot.. they have a ... life to them. |
|
Jeff Brillart 2002-08-06 |
Sorry Laura but when people are drawn there aren't those fundamental proportion mistakes all over. |
| (Linda Bergkvist) |
Huh?! That's -exactly- what happens when people are drawn. I'm not an expert by any means - I do huge mistakes when it comes to proportions. Please, don't blame my lack of skills on poser figures - I haven't even got the stupid program. I've spent ages on this picture, and it's nowhere near a poser rendition. Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and ignore your comments from now as you're pretty obviously a troll/flamer. Good luck with your new hobby, I hope you enjoy it.

However this was created it is a nice one. I like the more whimsical ones over the "dead" people ones. Very nice touch with the leafy wings. |

Actually this is a wildlife phtograph that Linda just ran through her "make bad ass art" filter on her advanced copy of Photoshop 13.
Linda, I love it. This has been my desktop since you first showed it to me. |

joakim hagdahl 2002-08-06 |
Excuse me but what is the resolution on the original one and how long did it take to make something as massive as this, of course some things are vague and blurred but with that closeup you can imagine that there must be more detail than you can actually see on the normal (lowres) version. |

Nene Thomas 2002-08-06 |
this is not nene, my name is darlene. i would like to know if there are prints available. i want an autumn whisperings for my daughter who is autumn when we do faires. the colors are so perfect and match her completally. i really love your work, it is so beautiful. there are actually several of these that i would like to have, and i am very selective about the art i will purchase to hang in my home. it has to be something that really expresses how i feel, and your art really touches that part of me. |
| (Linda Bergkvist) |
I'm working to sell prints of my pictures... truly glad you like it so much - I'll try to get in touch with you when the prints are available.

Wow... you are an amazing artist. I love the colors in this picture. The fabric in the dress looks very natural. Out of all your artwork, I like this face the best. It's beautiful and mysterious - what is she looking at?
Everything is done with such perfect detail. The pose is awesome... and the wings! Amazing. |
|
Dan Mills 2002-08-06 |
This is a great piece of artwork. The butter flys and faery are amazing! |
|
Steve Ferris 2002-08-07 |
Beautiful execution and composition and those leaves as wings make this just that much more incredible.
Great job! |

Yelitza MarÃa Vélez 2002-08-07 |
I love the wings, they are so not your typical, average faery wings. Did you desing the dress? |

Leah Capitini 2002-08-10 |
I do not understand why the most beautiful work deserves the harshest criticism. This piece is by far the best I have ever seen, even by the standards of your other work. I hate to admit that this image has brought me to tears (I rarely ever cry, I am a cold-hearted inhuman beast) and they are still coming. I can't believe someone would point out the insignificant, minute errors that will never be perfected, not matter how amazing the artist. Can't you just appreciate the picture for what it is without tearing it to pieces, trying to make the whole add up to the sum of its parts? With art, Gestalt psychology can hardly be applied. I have no words to express how moved I am by this picture. |

min Rho 2002-08-09 |
By god, woman. The standard 'wow' will not suffice. I love your new emphasis on backgrounds. Gorgeous. And yet the character is still the focal point. There's always been a marvelous, dark, theatrical kind of drama to your work, and I am very pleased to see it continue in your newest stuff. |
|
Meredith French 2002-08-11 |
Fabulous This is another amazing piece. The colors are very rich and beautiful. I love the butterflies swirling around her. The light is perfect in this piece. It has an eerie quality, but it is gorgeous. The story is so sad. This is for certain one of my favorite pieces of yours and of any art I have ever seen. Great job.
To all those flamers: Why don't you take the energy it took to write those mean nasty comments and use it to make money to pay your therapist so you can get over your jealousy complex. |

| (Linda Bergkvist) |
Nej, det är inte orginalstorleken - den är cirka 5000pixlar hög egentligen. Länken fungerar inte därför att servern där bilden ligger är nere =(

...I said the wrong thing... the whole is more than the sum of its parts... You get my point! |
|
Harmony Steel 2002-09-06 |
Beautiful work as always! I really like the leaves as wings, and you've captured an etherial, fairy look about her face. You're a rare talent Linda, keep up the awesome work! |

AC Bamblett 2002-09-12 |
*roll eyes* Linda, I don't know how you put up with all the doubters and trolls, but kudos to you for doing it. I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and and the art you create, and your obvious talent just floors me. This one I think reaches a new pinnacle of realism compared to your others, and it's really quite inspiring. I can't help but think, "All that detail must've taken -ages-!," and I saw you mention that you spent a long time on it. I'm curious just -how long- this image took you, if you know... ? |
|
AC Bamblett 2002-09-12 |
Oh, bother. I'm repeating others' questions. I'm sorry!

To Mr. Brillart......Prints?? I "know" her thighs are fine...they aren't short in any way, shape or form. Any longer, and she "would" be out of porportion. Go feed your green eyed monster, it's obviously hungry.
Please Linda,I would like to be told whenever you are going to have prints available for any of your lovely pics....I would be very interested in purchasing a few!

Wow This is my fave pic of a female that you've done, I think. Her face is beautiful and the expression is wonderful. I personally don't see any porportionate mistakes. I think the anatomy is very well done- especially the hands! This is gorgeous. Don't let jeleous, talentless idiots bring you down. : ) Every artist gets a few bad comments from jerks. Just know that you are very, very gifted and you inspire a lot of people with your talent. Including me. :D You've prolly answered this question 2 million times, but what program do you use to do these peices??? |

Hello Hey, Linda, im pretty new here, and i random imaged, and i came to this picture. I think it is truly amazing. The colors in the wings are so amazing, her face is beautiful. I love her dress, and her hair. The backround adds to it, yet it dosent overpower her beauty. I myself love autumn, this really brings out the season. I dont care what that Jeff fool thinks, this is beautifully proportionate, and wonderful. Kudos to you. |

You Captured Her! First off, I would like to say that "Autumn Whisperlings" took my breath! I have been searching for the perfect fairie and I have found her. Now my question is, would it be possible to pay you for the right to use her as a tattoo? You have combined my love of earth, nature, trees and fairies into perfect balance and harmony for my soul. I would like to honor your gift and give it expression on my body. Thanks so much for you talent and wish to share yourself with the rest of us. |
