Amy, I wanted to let you know that I have always been a fan of your work. Your fairies and pixies inspire me so much as an artist as well as a costumer! I hope to see more of them in the future! ^_^ |

One of my Favorites This is beautiful. I love the details and the colors, as well as the tatoos. The whole thing has an amazing amount of texture to it also. It seems like you could reach out and touch her hair or feels the bark on the tree. |

Simply stunning... that colouring is to die for. It´s so vibrant and strong! I can´t believe you managed to do that in watercolours. The dress is fantastic. |

This is a lovely image, perhaps one of the best of yours that I have had the opportunity to see. The swirl pattern on her dress is quite beautiful. I also like the fact that this woman does not appear to be in her teens or twenties - her face has details that reveal that she may be older (the so-called "laugh lines" and crow's feet by her eyes), which would make sense if she's a gypsy and has travelled for some time. Personally though, I think it would have been much more effective if the background color was not so dark as a lighter color would have made the figure (as well as the knarled tree) pop more. I'm also not sure if you needed the wings at all. They seem to be more of an afterthought, and the image would have still been as earthy and lovely without them. |
