GORGEOUS This is much prettier than the chick in the movie and much truer to Tolkien's vision, I think. You did a gorgeous job on her eyes, especially. She is etherial and her eyes are so green and earthy. Perfect! | | (Norma Peters) |
As much as I admire Cate Blanchett as an actress, I thought she made a rather clunky Galadriel, and didn't have the delicacy of features that she should have. Of course this is only my opinion, and everyone has their own image of the Lady. It certainly could have been worse. ^_^ Thanks, Donna.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and you've instilled such a sparkling beauty in them that they must be an apt reflection of her inner self. With the softness and colour of the pale flesh tones you've given her, she really appears full of healthy life. The border detail is fabulous in its intricacy, and personally I like the way you've done her hair. Great work :) | | (Norma Peters) |
Thank you! This picture, oddly enough, caused a great deal of controversy at Elfwood, where it was admired by some, but reviled by others. These people said that it "doesn't look like Galadriel." Heh. That's quite a statement, considering the fact that the woman didn't actually exist, except in the imagination of Tolkien. I assume they meant that it doesn't look like Cate Blanchett, but then it wasn't supposed to resemble the actress. God forbid we try to portray our own vision.
