That's a nice little piece - good limited palette. Is the original very tiny? cool. | | (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Yes Patrick, the painting is 4" x 5" stretched canvas. But I should have painted it on masonite. The details would have been much better.

Hey...this is really different for you. I like the "dark side" of Marilyn Alice Boyle! :) | | (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
I wonder....have I hurt my image? Lol.

Lovely work as always Marilyn :). I like this different style of yours. Those brush strokes are great. Very nice. | | (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks Harmony. I've had this one in my mind for a while and thought I'd just do a small canvas of it.

WOW!!! Quite different from your other work but still FANTASTIC! | | (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks Dragan. Yes, it is quite different. Sometimes we need a change. I have a few more to paint along this line. I guess my storms are piling up inside me.

i like that pic, theres something very mystical about it, i love the ligtning too. i find work of only one colour to have so much more depth sometimes. love it | | (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Yet this is such a small painting that there is hardly any detail to it at all. Perhaps I'll do more of this size. Thanks Katy, I really like using a limited palette.

I was viewing your gallery and this really stood out... not because it was dark, but because the effective contrasts of light and shadow... I'd like to see your take on the unicorns running from the storm... |
