Linda, I really admire your talent... and its more than just the art, its the feeling behind it. Love the poem...really completes the picture |

Saw this on your devi gallery, but my comp decided to crash when I tried to open the bigger version. Go me. :( Ah well....another ethereal piece, heh, do I detect a little asian influence? ;) I really like the way how the hemline and edges of the dress form incoporate themselves into the waves. Lovely work! |

Great work! |

Holger Göbber 2003-02-10 |
Oh, wonderful work on the dress and the water. Your style reaches more and more the style of the old masters, maybe even surpassing it for its modern details. I like this all alot! |

Don Huber 2003-02-10 |
Mind Changing Linda, your changing my mind about digital. Will you offer this as a print and what size would it be if you did? It's just great! |
|
Mary Layton 2003-02-10 |
Linda, it's beautiful! Your work just shimmers, and you're a master at portraying a beautiful saddness. |
|
Steve Ferris 2003-02-10 |
That's actually a pretty good poem. Why are you always so sad Linda?
Nice water movement and textures. |

Christy Babrick 2003-02-10 |
I think it is often difficult to give characters a sense of depth and personality, but you pull it off beautifully. The poem works really well to add even more emotional impact to this piece. |

you rock Linda, you really inspire me. This is amazing. |

As always~! I absolutely love this picture~ O_O The composition and idea are just amazing...those fish really fascinated me, the way they alternate between skeleton and flesh, and her dress and general mood are wonderful. You are the greatest inspiration! *bows* |

Wonderful moods Hello, I don't think I have even commented before on anything of yours...I did write you an email a while ago(which you did respond!) And I thnak you for the comments on my own work.
I really like this picture, not just the colors, or the lovely face, but the mood is very sad; and of loss. I wonder if you had inspiration for this?? It makes me think of the enviroment, and what we are doing to the earth...at least that is what I am getting from the picture
Anyway, I look forward to the next piece....take care

All that I loved is in that picture ;] Amazing as always =)
I love the incredible work you've done with the water, and the colours are wonderful. Oh, and of course the anatomy and her face are incredible. <3! |

The water and clouds look so real. The painting has an almost 18th century painting/ nature study, except for the fantasy touches. |

Eleni Tsami 2003-02-22 |
Oh! I had written a comment on this one, but it seems ir was lost. :(
Anyhow... what I said is that this is (undoubtedly) a very beautiful image; my favourite part is the bottom of it, where the dress mingles with the turbulent waters -- it is full of power in that spot. The details throughout the image are a wonderful touch, characteristic of your work. Well done, Linda! |

Paien Skye 2003-02-22 |
This image is awe-inspiring, as always. I especially the bottom of the dress melting into the waves, slowly disintegrating. Not to mention that half fish half bones is actually very attention-catching. :) |

Maya Wheeling 2004-11-04 |
Very poignant; the poem as well brings tears. It reminds me of myself in another lifetime... very little can compare to the feeling of ultimate despair. Beautifully rendered. |
